They are responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment and scientific study of language and communication impairments in children, adults and the elderly. Speech therapists deal with both developmental difficulties in children and accident- or age-related impairments in adults. They also work to improve skills in those people without a disorder that want to be more efficient in their communication.
The Blanquerna method provides students with the strategies to be a good Speech Therapy professional, through working in small groups-seminars, practising teachers and compulsory work placements in companies starting in their third year. Students can also carry out work placements in different EU countries through different mobility programmes. Moreover, students that complete their Speech Therapy Degree course at Blanquerna-URL will have the option to get professional guidance in the first years after their graduation.
The advising service for students who are elite athletes at FPCEE Blanquerna was founded during the 2003-04 school year, only two years after the start of the degree programs in Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport, in the face of increasing demand for quality university education. The overall goal of the service is to provide these students with assistance in incorporating university studies through individualized attention, while never losing sight of the pursuit of excellence and academic rigor. Measures to attend diversity already exist in high school, and it’s only logical for it to continue to be offered by universities. You can find more information at the following link.
