The double degree course in Psychology and Speech and Language Therapy provides comprehensive training in the two degrees and enables prospective professionals to have an integrated vision of both disciplines.
A psychologist has the scientific knowledge needed to understand, interpret, analyse and explain human behaviour. They have knowledge and competences to decide on optimal assessment process and plan intervention strategies to give response to demands in different contexts and fields.
A speech and language therapist is responsible for the prevention, assessment, treatment and scientific study of Language, speech, Voice, deglutition and communication disorders.
The competences acquired in this double degree course enhance professional practice with an integral and interdisciplinary vision, which results in better quality care of people who require psychological counselling and have language, communication and/or learning disorders, whether they are children, adults or the elderly.
The mentoring service for students who are elite athletes at FPCEE Blanquerna was founded during the 2003-04 school year, only two years after the start of the degree programme in Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport, in the face of increasing demand for quality university education. The overall goal of the service is to provide these students with assistance in incorporating university studies through individualized attention, while never losing sight of the pursuit of excellence and academic rigor. Measures to attend diversity already exist in high school, and it is only logical for it to continue to be offered by universities. You can find more information on the following link.
