Directly from the city of Kerala, Father Jose Palakeel, a member of The Missionary Society of St. Thomas the Apostle, has come to visit us.
Specialist in Theology and Communication, Dr. Palakeel visited the Blanquerna Observatory on Communication, Religion and Culture, where he was received by two of its members, Dr. Jordi Sánchez and Alba Sabaté. Palakeel was surprised by the research activity of the center and was also welcomed by the head of the Department of International Affairs, Marta Esteller.
We invite you to enjoy the interview conducted by the Dean of the School, Dr. Josep Maria Carbonell. You will find out what interreligious dialogue is like in a country that has more than one billion inhabitants, and how monotheistic religions coexist with polytheists in a sacred land where Christianity is a minority but with some institutional influence, as Palakeel will explain when talking about his City, Kerala, where 20% of the Christians of India are concentrated.
