Dana Natera, winner of the DocsBarcelona 2017 DOC-U Award

The former student of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, Dana Natera (19th promotion), has won the prize of best university documentary production in Catalonia of the DocsBarcelona with her short film "Mamá, siempre" (Mama, always), an intimate and delicate portrait full of courage and honesty.

The prize consists of a 50% discount on the rental of filming equipment sponsored by 16nou and an annual digital subscription of Altaïr Magazine valued at 60 €.

During the session two pieces of work from our School were projected, which had been made and developed during the seminar classes of Professor Oriol Gispert. Such is the case of «9 veranos», by the Alumni Laia Canadell, which explains the history of a Malian immigrant who came to Spain to maintain his family from a distance; and «Mamá, siempre» by Natera.
