Two documentaries produced in Blanquerna FCRI, at Tel Aviv Cinematheque

The Tel Aviv festival Cinematheque, in Israel, has chosen the two documentaries co-produced by our School and ORT Uruguay in commemoration of Israel's national day, the Yom Ha-Shoah (Day of Remembrance of the Holocaust victims), on 23 April.

The documentaries are «Giza, la niña de la maleta» (Best Feature Film at Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival, 2014) and «Menazka, La Cazuela» (Best Documentary Award at the Punta del Este Jewish Film Festival, 2016), and they were elected in the official sections of the Jewish Film Festival in Barcelona, ​​the Jewish Film Festival in Madrid, the Jewish Film Festival in Atlanta and the Jewish Film Festival in San Pablo.

The documentaries were directed by the Blanquerna Professor David Serrano. In the first case, Professor Jaume Benet did the realization and, in the second, Professor Aníbal Salazar the scriptwriting. Jaume Pedrós was in charge of the musical composition in both cases.

Professor Serrano will travel to Tel Aviv to participate in a round table, before and after the passes, with the director of the Cinematheque, Holocaust survivor Isaac Borojovich, and the ambassadors of Uruguay and Spain in Israel.
