According to the World Health Organization, gender equality consists of equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities for everyone. It is a necessary pillar to achieve a sustainable, peaceful, prosperous, healthy world that leaves no one without care. It is a fundamental human right established in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and is essential for achieving all the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Who is it aimed at?

Graduates in Nursing, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Human Nutrition and Dietetics. 3rd and 4th year students from these degree courses.

  • Intersectionality: gender, class, ethnicity and disability

  • Tools for respectful care

  2. Non-sexist communication in campaigns
  • Critical analysis of healthcare materials

  1. Gender-sensitive research methodologies
    • The intersectional perspective as an ethical imperative
    • Incorporating the gender perspective into research protocols: considerations at each stage
    • Gender biases and innovations in research

    • Review of teaching content
