The assessment of body composition is fundamental in various fields, such as nutrition, sports and medicine. Bioimpedance is a non-invasive technique that allows for the determination of total body water and fat-free mass, which is essential for assessing a person's general health through an assessment of their nutritional status.

On the other hand, ultrasound provides detailed images that can help identify the distribution of fat and other tissues, offering a more complete view.
