Objective
All students must acquire the specific competences of the generic module on the Development of the Person, Education and Society.
SC.1) To learn about the psychological characteristics of secondary school students and the relationships between their social contexts, motivations and developmental processes.
SC.2) To understand the relationships between the intellectual, moral and social development of these students and learning processes in school contexts.
SC.3) To develop educational activities that optimise the acquisition of intellectual and emotional knowledge, skills and aptitudes.
SC.4) To identify and plan activities for educational settings that allow students with different capacities and different learning speeds to learn.
SC.5) To become familiar with and understand the influence of learning on interaction and communication processes in the classroom and at school, and to be able to design strategies to deal with and resolve potential problems in this area.
SC.6) To become familiar with the historical evolution of the educational system in our country.
SC.7) To become familiar with and apply information, tutoring and academic and professional guidance resources and strategies; to promote emotional education actions in values and citizenship training.
SC.8) To participate in both defining the educational plan and in general school activities bearing in mind quality improvement criteria, attention to diversity, the prevention of learning problems and peaceful coexistence.
SC.9) To relate education with the environs and to understand the educational role of the family and community in both the acquisition of competences and lessons and in education in the respect for rights and freedoms, equal rights and opportunities between males and females and equal treatment and non-discrimination of disabled individuals.
SC.10) To become familiar with the historical evolution of the family, different kinds of families and the influence of the family setting on education.
SC.11) To acquire social skills in social interaction and orientation.
Specific module
SC.46) To acquire knowledge of today’s educational system and how it works.
SC.47) To situate technology within the state educational system.
SC.48) To identify and clarify the differences and similarities between the technology subjects and the other subjects within the educational system.
SC.18) To become familiar with the contexts and situations in which different curricular contents are used or applied.
SC.49) To become familiar with what science and technology are and to value the ethical implications of their development and the relationships among them.
SC.50) To become familiar with the main difficulties in the technology learning process and to be capable of designing activities to overcome these difficulties bearing in mind diversity.
SC.51) To transform disciplinary knowledge into technological educational activities to be applied in technological teaching-learning processes.
SC.52) To know how to arouse, stimulate and detect technology vocations.
SC.53) To become familiar with the main uses of computers in learning and teaching.
SC.54) To be capable of using the computer and the range of resources available to teach the sciences and technology.
SC.55) To plan, develop and evaluate computer-based activities which facilitate the acquisition of the competences within the area of technology.
SC.56) To value the new information and communication technologies (ICT) as useful, necessary tools for searching for information and simulating experimental situations.

SC.57) To acquire experience in technology planning, teaching and evaluation methods.
SC.28) To master the techniques and social skills needed to encourage the interest, motivation and good climate that facilitate learning and peaceful coexistence.
SC.58) To promote oral communication skills for teaching practice.
SC.59) To design, implement and collaborate on proposals for improvement in different spheres of action through practice-based reflection.

SC.31) To become familiar with the formative values and contents of physical education at the different stages of education.
SC.32) To develop educational intervention proposals from the field of physical education depending on the curricular competences and contents.
SC.33) To choose the most appropriate methodological teaching and learning strategies depending on the learning objectives and the characteristics of the context and the students.
SC.34) To establish evaluation and qualification strategies.
Practicum and Master’s Final Project module
SC.26) To acquire experience in planning, carrying out and evaluating physical education programmes and activities.
SC.27) To demonstrate sound mastery of oral and written expression in professional practice.
SC.28) To master the social skills needed to foster a good climate that facilitates communication among teachers, students and families.
SC.35) To participate in proposals for improvement in the different spheres of action through practice-based reflection.
SC.36) To work in physical education and experience the different functions related to the practice of this profession.
Specific Module
E.12) Know the history and the recent development of research on language acquisition (first, second and foreign).
E.21) Acquire criteria for the selection and development of teaching materials for English.
E.23) Know and apply innovative approaches to teaching and learning English.
E.37) Know the evolution of the main methodologies of teaching and learning of foreign languages, mainly English, and the latest research applied to classroom practice.
E.38) Understand and analyse the cognitive, metacognitive and social-emotional features that characterize a situation of language contact and its most common manifestations: bilingualism, multilingualism, influence of the mother tongue (L1) in the acquisition of other languages and the use of translation as a factor of positive transfer between languages.
E.39) Describe, develop and evaluate significant learning practices of English in contexts of multicultural classrooms.
E 41) Know the different perspectives from which you can design and evaluate curricula from various approaches and methods.
E.42) Know the different teaching materials that can be designed based on the various approaches and methods.
E.43) Design activities, tasks and projects for the English class.
E.44) Know the characteristics of a subject taught in CLIL format, respond and resolve the most common questions about its implementation.
Module Practicum and Final MA dissertation
E.23) Know and apply innovative approaches to teaching and learning English.
E.26) Gain experience in planning, implementation and evaluation of programs and activities of the relevant specialty (English).
E.27) Demonstrate a good command of oral and written expression in professional practices.
E.28) Master the social skills necessary to foster a good environment to facilitate communication between teachers, students and families, learning and coexistence.
