Introduction

The Master's Degree in International Journalism* provides students with the knowledge necessary to develop into professionals of international information or researchers in the field of international communication. Eminent professors from the scientific and academic field of international relations and prominent journalists specialized in international information impart the content which is distributed around three axes: a) the history and theory of international relations and the geopolitical, economic and legal structure of today's world; b) regional studies and the monitoring of international current affairs, and c) journalism applied to international information in the areas of digital media, press, radio and television. The research plan provides the theoretical and methodological knowledge which is necessary for researchers in the field of communication.

The program is directed toward three different profiles:

  • Journalists and communication professionals interested in building on their knowledge of the international context.
  • International Relations graduates interested in acquiring journalism and communication skills.
  • Graduates in any field who want to develop their knowledge in international affairs, journalistic languages, and communication techniques in the digital environment and hypermedia in order to build their career as journalists in the field of international relations.

The course is taught in English and Spanish and includes an optional internship in the international area of an organization or media outlet if the professional line of the program is followed.
