Ultrasound is a fundamental medical imaging technique that uses ultrasound waves to obtain real-time visualizations of the structure and functioning of internal organs. Thanks to its safety, accessibility and versatility, it has become an essential tool in various medical specialties, from emergency medicine to gynecology, internal medicine and many other disciplines.
This introductory course is designed to provide fundamental knowledge about how the ultrasound machine works, basic image interpretation, and the most common clinical applications. Throughout the course, attendees will learn the physical principles of ultrasound, the basic techniques for performing ultrasound scans, and how to identify basic anatomical structures in different areas of the body.
Objectives
The objective of this course is to provide participants with the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary to begin using ultrasound effectively in their field of work. Through structured and progressive learning, the aim is for students to be able to identify basic anatomical structures, recognize common pathological patterns and use ultrasound as a complementary tool in clinical decision-making.
With this training, we hope to contribute to a more efficient, accurate and patient-centric medical practice, taking full advantage of the benefits offered by ultrasound.
