For the first time, in the 24 editions of the Blanquerna Conferences, the award for best communicator of the year went to a former student: Patrícia Plaja, chief of communication of the Mossos (6th promotion), and Marc Homedes, communication chief of the General Directorate of Civil Protection of the Generalitat.

Photographer Joan Fontcuberta will try to answer a difficult question: can photography provide reasonable certainty in times of skepticism and fanatical credibility? His answer will surely be interesting.

The Head of Communications of the Mossos d'Esquadra and Alumna of the 11th class of the School, Patrícia Plaja, along with the head of communication of the Directorate General of Civil Protection of the Generalitat, Marc Homedes, are the winners of the Blanquerna Prize for Best Communicator of the year, for the management they did after the attacks of Barcelona and Cambrils, on August 17 of last year.

Miguel Hernandez-Bronchud is 22 years old and is Deloitte's youngest strategic consultant. He did the last internship of his degree at Deloitte and once he had graduated, they quickly hired him.

A handful of students and teachers of our faculty have actively participated in the tenth gala of the Gaudí awards, awarded by the Catalan Film Academy to recognize the best pieces of work produced during the year 2017.

An official plate was hung by the president of Emerson College, Dr. Lee Pelton and our Dean, Dr. Josep Maria Carbonell, during the Cross Cultural Communication Conference hosted by our School. Even though both universities have been collaborating for 20 years through the organisation of events and the exchange of students, this relationship will now prosper further as Blanquerna has officially become Emerson College’s main academic representative in Europe.

The journalist Agustí Pons i Mir; Eloisa Alonso San Martín, president of Hill + Knowlton Strategies, and Robert Rodergas Pagès, creator, founder and president of the Association of Young Spanish Advertisers (AJEP), have been awarded the 2017 Master's of Communication Awards, organized by the Foundation of Communication (Fundeco), the Advertising Association, the Advertising and Public Relations Association and our School.

At the end of November the first meeting of alumni of the Master in Protocol and Institutional Relations and Strategic Organization of the School took place.

Congratulations to all the participants of the latest edition of the Drac Novell International, the most important advertising festival in the university world.
