Oncologic physiotherapy is a new speciality that aims to prevent, treat and/or resolve the after effects of the oncologic process and treatment (surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, hormone therapy), that may be generated by a patient, with physiotherapeutic techniques that include therapeutic physical activity.
This training programme is based on the most relevant scientific evidence, and includes all aspects of onco-haematolological physiotherapy and palliative care. Moreover, it boasts the country’s best specialists and aims at a therapeutic and intervention model where the patient is the protagonist of his / her treatment.
The main objective of this qualification is for professionals to acquire specialised training that allows them, with tools of assessment and specific therapies, to address highly complex problems caused by oncologic illnesses.
