We are participating in the third edition of the Digital Skills Congress!

September 23, 2022

The third Congress of Digital Skills will discuss the creation of more ethical and inclusive digital environments

How do we address the digital divide and inequalities? How do we achieve a society that is digitally empowered, ethical and inclusive? Find out at the third edition of the Digital Skills Congress, this year under the theme "Ethical and engaged citizens in the digital sphere".

The congress will take place in a hybrid format on October 5 at the Barcelona Activa Cibernàrium. It will also be combined with different methodological and technological virtual workshops held on October 3, 4, 6, and 7, during which new methodologies will be presented for modernizing education, and also for acquiring skills for life, learning and development in today's digital society.

The initiative is promoted by the Department of the Vice-Presidency and Digital Policies and Territory of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Barcelona Activa, the Blanquerna-URL School of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences, and the Open University of Catalonia, and is organized by the i2CAT Foundation.

The rapid adoption of new technologies by children and young people or their breakthrough in sectors such as health and education make it essential to have an approach focused on ethics and inclusiveness. With this need as a starting point, the third Digital Skills Congress has brought together a group of leading figures in the digital sphere to discuss issues such as digital security, digital empowerment of citizens, training of professionals in the education and health sectors, and the persistence of the gender gap and inequalities and how to overcome them. The event will also present ethical experiences from different organizations now working in this area.

Dr. Miquel Àngel Prats, professor at the Blanquerna-URL School of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences, will take part with the presentation of the SEN1OR-TIC project.
