Pope Francis receives the representatives of Blanquerna-URL at the Vatican

Last Friday, January 19, Pope Francis received in audience a representation of Blanquerna-URL as part of the celebration of the centenary of the International Federation of Catholic Universities (IFCU).

In attendance were Dr. Josep Maria Carbonell, president; Dr. Giorgia Miotto, general director; Dr. Míriam Díez, head of the Blanquerna Observatory of Communication, Religion and Culture; Dr. Carles Pérez, professor emeritus; Dr. Josep Rom, dean of URL; and Dr. Carlo Maria Gallucci, vice-dean of URL. Pope Francis delivered a speech on the meaning of Catholic universities which, given its content and interest, we include here.
