A Blanquerna-URL project receives funding from the Erasmus+ program

The European Commission, within the framework of the Erasmus+ program has funded the SIENHA project (Strategic innovative educational network for healthy ageing), led by the Blanquerna-URL professor Elena Carrillo-Álvarez.

The European Commission, in the framework of the Erasmus+ program has funded the SIENHA project (Strategic innovative educational network for healthy ageing), led by the Professor Elena Carrillo-Álvarez, principal investigator of the Research Group Global Research on Wellbeing (GRoW), of our school. It is a project involving several higher education institutions in Europe and is coordinated by the Ramon Llull University.

The aim of the SIENHA project is to promote healthy ageing among European countries through the development of competencies of health and social care professionals in order to: understand healthy ageing as a lifelong process, which requires greater attention at all stages; foster the development of competencies of students, teachers and professionals; promote the exchange of knowledge and learn from best practices in higher education; and increase the involvement of citizens in personal health care and healthy ageing.

The Blanquerna-URL professors who also participate in the project are: Jordi Vilaró, Mercè Sitjà, Alesander Badiola, Míriam Rodríguez, Olga Bruna, Miquel Àngel Prats and Jordi Riera.

The Erasmus+ program is the EU program to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. The program contributes to the Europe 2020 strategy for growth, jobs, social justice and inclusion, and to the objectives of the strategic framework for European cooperation in education and training (ET 2020).
