Public health includes the promotion, protection and restoration of health in the community realm. In the field of food, the promotion of good health is studied through the prevention of food-related diseases within the framework of food policies and programs.

Currently, the recent incorporation of the dietitian-nutritionist figure into the field of primary care shows that there is an interest in deepening and enhancing knowledge of community interventions in the field of food and nutrition in order to meet the needs of the population.

In this framework, the course aims to impart knowledge on the analysis and description of health and community services, the types of community interventions as well as the tools and resources that can be applied to address improving the state of community health.

Objectives of the program

Provide the Dietitian-Nutritionist with the tools to gain an in-depth knowledge of the structures and characteristics of healthcare services.
