GHenderS: Global Health, Gender and Society

The GHenderS research group focuses its research activity on three key mainstays: Global Health, Gender and Society. With regard to sexual healthcare, it explores, analyzes and assesses health outcomes from the perspective of the organization of healthcare services, the organizational cultures of the services, and the healthcare policies. In terms of gender and health, the group explores the impact on health outcomes of gender-based policies, the organization of services, and interventions. In relation to social aspects, it analyzes the cultural context with a gender perspective, and their potential impact on people's health.

Group work areas

The main lines of research of the group are:

Sexual and reproductive healthcare. Exploration, analysis and assessment of health outcomes from the perspective of the organization of healthcare services, the organizational cultures of the services and the healthcare policies.

Gender and health. Exploring the impact on health outcomes of gender-based policies, the organization of services, and interventions.

Social aspects. Exploration of social factors, the cultural context with a gender perspective, and their potential impact on people's health.
