SCIR UMD academic information on languages

Languages

The usual languages for work (classes, notes, bibliography, etc.) are Catalan and Spanish, indifferently, depending on the course. as a general rule, however, the first term of one-year courses will be given in Spanish. The School offers Catalan and Spanish courses free of charge for foreign students or for those from other regions of Spain. The School also has a Language Self-Learning Classroom to support students.

Students can complete course work in Catalan, Spanish or English. Foreign students who have difficulty with any of these languages will be able to submit their work in a different language, on agreement with the course director.
