Update 14h: guidelines regarding the weather situation

October 5, 2026

According to the latest information from the meteorological and emergency services, forecasts
indicate that conditions will gradually improve during the afternoon. However, some instability
remains, and there may still be disruptions to mobility and public transport.

For this reason, Blanquerna will maintain its scheduled teaching activities and services this afternoon, adapting them to the circumstances as necessary.

We ask all members of the community —students, teaching staff and administrative and services staff (PTGAS)— to prioritise their safety and avoid taking any risks when travelling. Maximum flexibility will be applied regarding absences, delays or other disruptions caused by weather conditions or transport difficulties.

We will continue to monitor the situation throughout today and over the course of the week. Should there be any significant change in the guidance issued by the authorities, we will communicate it through our institutional channels.

Annoucement 10h:

Following the Civil Protection alert issued this morning due to the risk of torrential rain until 2 p.m., we ask all Blanquerna students, faculty and staff to exercise extreme caution and follow the authorities’ instructions at all times.

Morning academic activities will continue for those already on campus. Please avoid unnecessary travel while the alert remains in effect.

Afternoon and evening academic activities are currently expected to proceed as scheduled. However, we are monitoring weather conditions and Civil Protection guidance and will communicate any necessary changes before 1 p.m.

Throughout today, absences or late arrivals due to weather conditions or transport disruptions will be treated with appropriate flexibility for both students and teaching staff and PTGAS. In all cases, we ask everyone to prioritise personal safety when considering any journey.

Please exercise caution and follow official guidance.
