Alumni Martí Bailac takes part in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar

Martí Bailac, an alumni of the second year of the bachelor's degree in Sports Management of the Blanquerna-URL School of Psychology, Education and Sports Sciences, was one of those chosen to work as a volunteer in the organization of the World Cup in Qatar.

FIFA has chosen 20,000 volunteers from among the 140,000 applicants. These are young people who are eager to see the world, have language skills, and have decided to go to Doha because they love soccer and want to experience the World Cup up close in an experience that will doubtlessly be one of the most exciting of their lives.

Marti, who has just graduated this year, has spent a month volunteering at the Education City Stadium, which hosted the group stage, round of 16 and quarterfinal matches. He has been working in the Spectactor Service department providing service and assistance to the public. He explained that they also had the possibility of working in other departments, such as marketing, sustainability or Fan first.

Bailac very positively values this opportunity, which represents a further experience in his professional career as a sports manager.
