Admission for international students (Latin America)
If you come from a country outside Europe, you can access our programs by having your high school diploma officially recognized in Spain.
You can start your studies while this procedure is in progress, although you will need to submit the final resolution at a later stage.
Important: this process can take several months, so we recommend starting it as soon as possible.
Student visa
Once you are admitted, you must apply for a student visa at the Spanish consulate in your country.
If your stay is longer than 6 months, you will need to apply for the Foreigner Identity Card (TIE) upon arrival in Spain.
Language requirements
For English-language programs, you will need a minimum B2 level, which you can demonstrate with certifications such as IELTS, TOEFL, or Cambridge.
Minimum requirements to enroll in our Schools:
- Students from the European Higher Education Area (EHEA), International Baccalaureate, or with an agreement with the Spanish State:
Students must apply to the National University of Distance Education (UNED) for the credential certifying that they meet the requirements to access university studies in their education system (UNED credential). Therefore, it is not necessary to take the PAU entrance exams, but without this credential, it will not be possible to finalize enrollment in our degree programs.
The education systems that can be accessed through this pathway are: Germany, Andorra, Austria, European Schools (European Baccalaureate), International Baccalaureate, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Slovakia, Slovenia, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, United Kingdom, Czech Republic, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, China, and Cyprus.
- Students from outside the EHEA and without an agreement with the Spanish State
These students can access our degree programs by presenting the recognition of their high school diploma from the Ministry of Education of the Spanish State or from the autonomous communities with transferred powers, such as the Generalitat de Catalunya. Enrollment can be finalized with only the recognition request and the degree can be pursued, but enrollment will be conditional pending submission of the final recognition.
Please note that this process can take more than three months, so it must be managed in parallel with the admission process. If the resolution is not favorable under the terms requested, any exam results or enrollment completed will be void.
Once you receive the acceptance letter, you must apply for a student visa at the Spanish embassy or consulate in your country. You can find them on the website of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union, and Cooperation.
If your authorized stay is longer than six months, you must apply for the TIE within one month of arriving in Spain, as well as the registration certificate. These documents are issued at the National Police station at your place of residence.
For degrees taught in English, students must demonstrate a minimum B2 level. This can be done through a placement test before starting studies or with official certificates (IELTS 6–7, TOEFL IBT 90–110, Cambridge, or Official Language Schools) obtained within the last two years. Holding a certificate does not exempt you from taking the placement test.
