At present, studies in the Physiotherapy degree include basic training in the rehabilitation of the pelvic floor and training in obstetric physiotherapy to provide special care for before and after the birth. This University Expert course addresses the most relevant aspects of obstetric physiotherapy, post-birth rehabilitation and the treatment of dysfunctions of the pelvic floor. It also has a multidisciplinary focus on care for oncologic dysfunctions that affect the woman and care for the child with a urinary dysfunction.
For this reason, the course provides the theory and practice necessary to provide the physiotherapist with the tools to allow him / her to programme and carry out specific treatment guidelines for urological, colorectal and sexual care for the woman and child.
