The care model of the 21st Century is focused on bringing healthcare to the patient in order to promote care in the environment that is closest to the person and family. For this reason, a new model of intervention for highly complex situations based on at-home healthcare for the patient gains momentum.
Accordingly, it is vital that the wide range of services that shapes at-home specialised healthcare adapt to their application to home care safely and efficiently. This task must be developed by professionals that are specifically prepared to offer complex and integral healthcare and who also contribute to the promotion of self-care and people’s own healthcare management, providing leadership with clinical management for care continuity.
The main objective of this training programme is to provide healthcare professionals with the necessary competences to offer quality integral care for people in a complex situation in the field of at-home healthcare.
