The Professors of the Degree in Audiovisual Communication Judith Colell and Carla Subirana have worked together with Isabel Coixet, Isaki Lacuesta and Miguel Bosch, on a programme promoted by the City Council of Barcelona to fight against homophobic discrimination.
The five cinema directors have directed a short film about transsexuality and homosexuality, assisted by Audiovisual Communication students.
Professor Colell’s short film «Aniversari» tells the story of a girl who has always wanted to be a boy; while professor Subirana has directed «Júpiter i Mart», which delves into the reality of a boy and girl who have two mothers.
These videos will be presented at the «21st International Showcase of Gay and Lesbian Cinema: FIRE!!», held between June 30th and July 10th.
