III Symposium «Collective memory in the media»

The first block will be introduced and moderated by Professor Ferran Sáez. Participants will include Vicenç Villatoro, director of the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona (CCCB) and author of the novel Un home que se’n va (2014), 'a literary chronicle of a life until migration'.

The second section is entitled "The commodification of memory and ‘museum-izing’ of the the past." It will be presented and moderated by Professor Elena Yeste. Professor Jaume Sobrequés, historian at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, will also participate, along with Queralt Solé, historian and professor in the Department of Contemporary History at the University of Barcelona; and Oriol Ponsatí, editor, translator and writer, Professor of Philosophy at University of Girona.

This activity is organized by the Research Group on Communication, Public Opinion and Historical Memory (GRECOM). The event is open to the entire educational community and Blanquerna URL and the general public.
