La Facultat acull l’11a edició del Global Communication Summit Emerson-Blanquerna

Enguany ha portat per títol “The Future of Europe, Technology and Sports from a Communication Perspective”.

El Global Communication Summit Emerson-Blanquerna és una cimera que compta amb conferències magistrals, presentacions i taules rodones que aborden l’impacte de les noves tecnologies en la comunicació, així com les incerteses socials, polítiques i econòmiques associades a aquestes transformacions.

La presentació va anar a càrrec de la Dra. Míriam Díez, vicedegana de Recerca, Transferència, Doctorat i Relacions Internacionals, que va fer una introducció destacant la importància de la recerca; el Dr. Marc Polo, degà de la Facultat, va posar en valor l’aliança amb Emerson durant més d’una dècada; i Gregory Payne, cofundador i director d’Emerson College, va encoratjar els estudiants d’Emerson a "aprofitar l’ocasió per construir ponts amb Barcelona i Blanquerna, i va remarcar que és el moment de reconstruir la governança global."

Carme Colomina, periodista i investigadora del CIDOB, va fer la conferència inaugural “Europe in a Hard Power Competition Trap”, on va exposar que "la Unió Europea es troba en un estat de perplexitat en aquest nou món" i que "ha esdevingut una observadora mancada de poder."

Després d’un refrigeri, es van iniciar les taules rodones a les aules de la Biblioteca.
