Blanquerna Online Workshops - From 15th October 2021 to 27th May 2022
During the 2021-22 school year, Blanquerna-URL is offering three online workshops that students can take in their own classrooms, substituting the traditional Blanquerna-Escola Workshops usually organised at their school.

“A Day Working in an Advertising Agency”
From 15 October 2021 to 27 May 2022 - Duration: one hour - For A-level and higher vocational education students
What’s a typical day like in an advertising agency? What is the structure of the different tasks carried out by the professionals who work there? What do you need to study to practice this profession? What are the differences between advertising, public relations and marketing? Can I picture myself working in this sector?
“A Day Working as a Physiotherapist”
From 15 October 2021 to 27 May 2022 - Duration: one hour - For A-level and higher vocational education students
What is the job of a physiotherapist? In what areas do they work? Do you need a university degree to be a physiotherapist? What skills are required to be a good physiotherapist? If I like biology and anatomy, could this be the profession for me?
“A Day as a Working In a School”
From 15 October 2021 to 27 May 2022 - Duration: one hour - For A-level and higher vocational education students
What does it mean to be a teacher? What roles do they play in a child’s education process? Do you need certain skills to be a teacher? What other professional profiles work in school? Would I like to work as a teacher, psychologist, educational psychologist or speech therapist?

Workshop structure
1) Introduction to the workshop
Watch a video on the typical day in the life of the chosen professional
2) Work, either in a group or individually, on a file based on the video you watched
- Exploratory exercises on your own skills and interests.
- Discover the different professional profiles of the chosen employment sector.
- Knowledge of the different professional pathways, according to the studies that you can choose at the university, with short explanations of the roles and activities inherent to each professional profile
- Interviews with professionals from each sector on their degrees and professions.
How the Workshops are Run
The class group can do the same workshop or the three workshops simultaneously. Therefore, they can be taken as a group or individually. The centre hosting the workshop can ask Blanquerna to deliver an online workshop presentation. Once the workshop is over, the students who want to, can do work experience or a guided tour of our faculties, as long as the sanitary measures allow so.
