Official Master in Psychopedagogy  

The University Master’s in Educational Psychology (MUP) offers, from an approach focused on practice and research, specialised training to provide advisement and intervention based on educational psychology and orientation services at schools in different stages (preschool, primary and secondary) to cover the guidance and advisement needs – from an inclusive approach – on issues related to improving schools’ educational quality, training and innovation of faculty, tutoring, attention to diversity, learning difficulties and vocational and professional guidance. It also allows for educational psychology advisement and intervention in other spheres that may need it.

The Master is completed in 2 academic years and is compatible with work and personal life:

  • 1st year: Tuesday and Thursday from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm.
  • 2nd year: Monday and Wednesday from 5.30 pm to 9.30 pm.

This University Master’s is recognised as equivalent to:

  1. Master’s degree that authorises holder to work as compulsory secondary education, baccalaureate, professional training and language teachers, exclusively in the specialisation of educational guidance (Order EDU/3498/2011, of 16 December, and Royal Decree 1834/2008, of 8 November). *According to the Memory approved by AQU and their academic record, the master’s students have to take between 6 and 18 ECTS as a training supplement.

What is more, graduates from the University Master’s in Teacher Training of Compulsory Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, Vocation Education and Language Teaching may also gain admission into this programme, which provides access to holders of Bachelor’s degrees and graduates in the University Master’s in Social and Community Education: Leadership in Socio-educational Transformation.

The selection and admission criteria to the Blanquerna-URL Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences are based on:

  • Grade point average (40%)
  • Previous work experience in the field of teaching and education (20%)
  • Student motivation (20%)
  • Additional training in the field of study of the Master’s (10%)
  • Language level (English)
