The Master in Healthcare and Wellness for Woman and Child, with an interdisciplinary focus that integrates the professionalising aspect and that of research, is designed to develop the necessary competences to contribute to the improvement of the quality of care of the two collectives: the woman, during her life cycle, and the child.
This new qualification, based on an integral care model, combines a wide range of transversal contents related to determining factors in healthcare like lifestyle, nutritional aspects and mental health, among others. The programme considers specific issues concerning areas like gynaecological oncology, urogynecology, coloproctology, obstetric emergencies, care in pregnancy and high-risk birth, as well as care during the neonatal stage for the newborn with health problems and for the infant to provide integral support.
This master’s course also aims to train healthcare professionals in research-related competences, to be able to substantiate their knowledge with scientific evidence, such as planning projects involving clinical research or proposing innovative interventions related to the healthcare of women and children.
