The Research Group on Interlinguistic and Intercultural Competence in Language Teaching and Learning (CILCEAL) centres its research on: the influence of L1 and translation in foreign language teaching-learning; the integration of content, native language and foreign language as a teaching and learning method for different subjects; learning a foreign language in multilingual contexts; children’s and youth literature as a teaching and learning tool to develop intercultural competence; and collaborative teaching of translation.

Professional translator, primarily in the fields of medicine, education and literature.
English and translation teacher, and co-director of the English Department in the School of Modern Languages at the University of Barcelona.
Professor in the Faculty of Human Sciences, Translation and Documentation at the University of Vic and Director of its Translation Department.
She is currently a professor in the Blanquerna-URL Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences, where she has directed the Department of Foreign Languages and coordinates the Official Master’s in Teacher Training of Secondary Teachers: English.
