School of Psychology, Education and Sport Science
This is a course that provides education professionals, educational psychologists and psychologists with the necessary basics in order to learn how to analyze drawings by children and adolescents. The training provides a practical way of achieving the abilities to analyze drawings from a positive perspective. in other words, using drawing not only to discover the possible cause of a child's discomfort, but also, and first and foremost, to help us as professionals to know their emotional, relational and intellectual needs, and to know how to respond in a better way.
Learning to use drawing, both in the school and therapeutic context, as a tool for detecting students' needs.
Knowing how to detect, in the main types of Specific Drawings (person, tree, house, family and person in the rain), indicators that provide us with important hypotheses regarding the status of each student.
Being able to apply the interpretation of Free Drawing as a tool to help students improve their personal process (emotionally, relationally and intellectually).
Understanding all the bases in order to act in an ethical and respectful manner in the interpretation, taking into account —from a professional context— that we are acting, learning to give feedback directly to the students as well as to other professionals or their tutors when required.
