The Bachelor's in Sport Management

The Degree course in Sport Management provides undergraduates with full training in those basic professional competences needed for sport management. In the last few years, our society has experienced a process of sportization resulting in an increasing importance of sport both economically and socially, and in an increase in the number of sports organizations – public, association-private, and commercial-private sectors-, which promote and facilitate sports to the growing numbers of sports users.

In the particular case of Catalonia, the significance acquired by sport is even more evident due to the city of Barcelona’s leadership in the field of sports. At present, Barcelona is a reference for sport promotion and management, and this is recognised at an international level.

This training in Sport Management qualifies graduates to manage organizations, facilities and projects in such sectors as competitive sports, recreational sport, health and wellness, educational sport, sport tourism or show business, grass-roots sport, on the basis of sound and professionalizing education, with an international vocation, which encompasses all of Blanquerna’s training expertise in the field of sports.

This degree course is offered in collaboration with three university centres belonging to Ramon Llull University:

- Institut Químic de Sarrià (School of Management)
- School of Tourism and Hospitality Management
- School of Communication and International Relations Blanquerna

Service for Elite Athletes

The advising service for students who are elite athletes at FPCEE Blanquerna was founded during the 2003-04 school year, only two years after the start of the degree programs in Sciences of Physical Activity and Sport, in the face of increasing demand for quality university education. The overall goal of the service is to provide these students with assistance in incorporating university studies through individualized attention, while never losing sight of the pursuit of excellence and academic rigor. Measures to attend diversity already exist in high school, and it’s only logical for it to continue to be offered by universities. You can find more information at the following link.
